2nd Int.l SMR Summer School

Learning objective

The main edu goal is to approach the Small Modular Reactor technology in a holistic way. The focus will be on Light Water SMRs, the most early-deployable technology, but also AMR (Advanced Modular Reactors) projects will be addressed.

Lectures will be offered by international experts. A live Q&A and discussion session with the floor will conclude each seminar.

The design and cost estimation of a passive safety system compared with an active system will be the main challenge for the Working Groups.

Target classroom

MSc and PhD students, young researchers, in the broad field of nuclear sciences, engineering and technologies.

Professionals from companies interested in SMR technology are welcome as well.
