Mangiarotti nuclear company (ITA), 2019

Nov. 2019 – the students of the “Introduction to Nuclear Engineering” course visited the Mangiarotti main facility, a manufacturing nuclear company in Monfalcone.

Mangiarotti, today owned by Westinghouse (USA),  is currently manufacturing 12 Steam Generators for french nuclear power plants and some sectors of the vacuum vessel of ITER (the fusion reactor under construction at Cadarache – FRA), while recently produced PRHR (Passive Residual Heat Removal heat exchanger) units for the AP1000 reactor, a new Generation III design by Westinghouse.
