PASCAL project launched!
On 2020 November 25 and 27, the on-line kick-off meeting of the PASCAL project took place. The R&D activity has been selected and funded by Euratom.
17 member organizations attended the meeting, from Sweden, Romania, Lithuania, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, EU (JRC) and Italy, the largest group joining CIRTEN (POLIMI and POLITO), ANSALDO Nucleare, CRS4, Sintec srl and ENEA, the leader of the project.
PASCAL (“Proof of Augmented Safety Conditions in Advanced Liquid-metal-cooled systems“) will investigate the key safety features of Lead-cooled Fast Reactors, with specific reference to ALFRED and MYRRHA reactors.
