New activities on Nuclear4Space

NRGroup is pursuing a new R&D line on Nuclear Reactors for Space applications, devoted to the exploitation of nuclear energy for planet-based stations (eg on Moon, Mars) and for propulsion in inter-planetary missions (eg to Mars).

The initiative is performed in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space-Italy.

The “Nuclear4Space” multi-disciplinary R&D group, joining competences from nuclear and aerospace engineering, has been set up at POLIMI.

Research projects in collaboration with ESA, ASI and ENEA are active.

New Thesis Work positions are open.
