Roberto Zanino is a professor of Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Torino since 2001, after several periods spent at the Max Planck Institut fuer Plasmaphysik in Garching and at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center.
He has been working on nuclear fusion for more than 30 years, with particular emphasis on the thermal fluid dynamic and multi-physics modeling of reactor-relevant problems involving superconducting magnets, divertor/SOL, blanket/first wall, etc. at both component and system level.
