IAEA Simulators training course @POLIMI
On Oct. 3-14, 2011, NRGroup hosted the IAEA biennial Workshop on “Enhancing Nuclear Engineering Education through the Use of the IAEA PC-based Simulators”.
The workshop was attended by experts coming from 17 Countries (Armenia, Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, Rep. of Korea, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa, Thailand, Ukraine).
The simulators are designed to provide insight and understanding of the general characteristics of various power reactor systems. They simulate responses of a number of water cooled reactor types under normal operations and accident conditions.
During the workshop, directed by Mr. Seong Deuk Jo – Division Nuclear Power IAEA – and by prof. Antonio Cammi – Politecnico di Milano – also the accident scenario occurred at Fukushima reactors has been simulated.
